Help Selecting a Breed!!!

I’ve been trying to find a right breed of dog for me and my dad for about 6 months now. I’ve taken countless breed selectors (including this one) and they’ve either given me dogs that don’t appeal to me, shed too much, or are just plain wrong!!! Can somebody out there help me? This is what I’m looking for in a dog:

*active enough to get me active

*popular enough it’s easy to find a breeder for

*doesn’t shed/ good for allergy sufferers

*not aggressive towards cats

*can be a good watch/guard dog

*medium/large/extra large

*likes to swim

So yeah. Can you give me suggestions? Very much appreciated!!!

i would like to suggest a Poodle or Irish Water Spaniel or Portuguese Water Dog. If their look does not appeal to you, you can always take them to the groomers… all three are water lovers, hypoallergenic and are active dogs.

you can also try looking at your local shelters for their adoptable dogs, you might find you are looking for there.
