my puppy australian cattle/terrier she is seven weeks old what do about him nipping at my feet. She moves so fast that once in a while I step on her paws. please help.

Puppies as so curious with their world that they’d put almost anything in their mouths—that would include toes. lol! Mouthing is actually a general behavior of dogs, especially when they start to teeth where the urge to mouth is huge because of the sore gums.

pennie, try keeping her outside sometimes, or you could keep her on a hard, non-slippery, floor. that way you don’t break her paws, otherwise, you WILL have a cripple.

We used a rolled up newspaper for discipline such as nipping or chewing on inappropriate things. We just tap them with it and say NO! They learn pretty quick if you are consistent.
