The diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases can be difficult and time consuming. Treatment of skin disease may include the use of antibiotics, antihistamines, steroids, topical drugs, antifungal drugs, medicated shampoos and rinses, dietary supplements, special diets and surgical removal of masses. Some therapies may take months to be effective and in some cases, it may be necessary to continue the therapy for the rest of your dog’s life. Check this link for more information on how to treat skin diseases. |

You may also want to check his food. See if it has wheat or corn as primary ingredients (within the first 5 ingredients). Wheat and corn are the two most common allergens for dogs. When I changed Rocky’s food to Natural Balance Duck & Potato he didn’t have any more skin problems. This was after he had been through treatments of antibiotics, antihistamines and steroids!!! Talk to someone at a wholistic pet food store or consider checking out the BARF diet (Bones and Raw Food) |

Just follow the vet’s advice. I think you also need to watch the food he eats. To understand more the health and feeding aspects of Labs, Kindly click on these links: http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/labrador-retrieve… |
