Are there any peekapoo owners out there? I am surprised at the lack of comments on this sweet breed of dog. I am looking for other owners to share comments and stories with. |

Hi. Have seen the profile of peekapoo in this site? If not yet, check out the link below for more details. |

Yes, I have seen the peekapoo profile. Is your pup a peekapoo? My dog is 6 mo. old and is named Yummy. He is very cute and curious, and follows me around like my shadow. Do you have anything cute stories to pass on? |

Hi there! I just recently purchased a peekapoo. I must say, after owning only larger breeds of dogs, my peekapoo has stolen my heart! Giada is only two months old, but extremely smart! She is very loyal and loving. She is always following me around and checking out her new home. I also own two cats, and she gets along with them extremely well. I can’t imagine owning any other type of breed now that I’ve bonded with her so well :) |

Hi Carrie and MShippley, so nice to hear from other peekapoo owners. I too have done lots of reading about this adorable breed of dog, and all good, might I add. |

LOL Linda- Not finding many other owners of the Peek-a-poo “breed?” That’s because it is NOT a “breed!” You people bought mutts. I honestly hope you get them at a shelter, as no responsible breeder would breed mixed breeds, and make up a name for them for the sake of “design” to get money! Dogs are not something to “design!” they are living breathing creatures. Carrie, there is not much to research on a specific mixed breed. This is something new that people are doing for money. Mshippley, Why couldn’t you imagine any other breed? Almost all mutts I’ve owned are the sweetest ever, just like the purebreds. The “breed” doesn’t automatically determine temperament, training does! |

cherha01 Are you a breeder to take such offense at the use of the word breed…? Yes, dogs are “living, breathing creatures” and peekapoo owners cherish their dogs as much as owners of purebreeds! |

Hi Linda, I’m currently feeding Giada a puppy food called Canin. She’s been eating it for awhile now, but I’ll probably wean her off of it and onto a less expensive brand. I’m currently feeding my two cats Purina and like the brand a lot. Any other suggestions? BTW, cherha01 I have owned many types of dogs in the past. In fact, my last two dogs have either come from shelters or have been dropped off by irresponsible human beings. I was blessed to have such wonderful dogs in my life — and yes, maybe it is because I’m good at training my dogs. I’m sorry you’re so cynical of peekapoos, but any person who truly loves animals could see past a name, and love the dogs for who they are — loyal and affectionate creatures. Please don’t post on this board again. We can definitely do without your negativity. |

I am a peke a poo owner also. My dog Nala is three years old and we got her from a rescue agency. She is priceless. I love her to pieces and I just love the affection she has for me and my family. |

Hello audett…..so nice to hear of your sweet Nala, how lucky you were to find her at a shelter, around here, there are nothing but the big dog breeds available. Not that those dogs arent great, I just live where we need to have small dogs. |

Our peekapoo, Addie, is going to be 10 yrs old in December and is still a happy, active dog. People can’t believe she’s almost 10. She has my heart – sweet, gentle and usually quiet though she loves to bark when someone comes to the door. These are wonderful animals. |

I’m not, but I love them. Peekapoo is a wonderful companion dog who will spend his days perched on your lap or sitting by your side. He’s loyal and affectionate and can be quite protective of the people he loves—which tends to be hilarious in such a small dog. I know you would love to find more things about them. Hi! I have a peekapoo and I couldn’t ask for a better dog! But our family is all away during the weekdays and I feel like my dog needs a playmate. But I’m not sure what kind of dog would go well with mine. Oh and by the way my dog is no longer a puppy he is about 3 years old. (If that makes any difference!?) But if you have any suggestions or comments please let me know! |

Hi qsefth! I’m also away for long periods of time during the weekdays. I have two cats that get along well with my puppy and they play together. However my mother-in-law has a bichon (about 2 years old) that Giada loves to play with. I’m sure no matter what type of dog you decide to adopt your dog will love having a companion! |
