Litter Box training?

I’m going to be having a new peekapoo puppy soon. I’m thinking about litter training her. Has any one tried it? They say the best way is to put them in a small space with only their bed, food and water bowls and the box. This gives them no other choice but to use the box! The positive side is when they are fully trained you can rest asurred that they, being small dogs can go when ever they want. It’s also great for travel, people with busy scheduals, and over nighters! Any one have any personal expertise? lol.
