I am interested in getting a goldador. I’d never heard of them before friends volunteered to be a puppy raiser for a service dog organization. Fabulous dog and very smart. Where did you get yours? I haven’t seen breeders for them.

Hi,

We are looking out for a pet for our family. I have 2 kids, one’s 2yrs and the other 4 yrs. I just read the characteristics of this dog. To be honest, i’ve never heard of them before. Can you tell me it’s nature. BTW, where are you located, i’m in Pittsburgh PA.

Hi

Yea, I’ve got photos too if you want them.

I’ve got two 2 1/2 yr olds (same liter – brother and sister!).

Beautiful colourings – golden retriever colour but short lab coat.

Temperment etc. is largely how they are brought up.

Mine are well trained (we got regularly to training) which makes a big difference.

It is just boundry setting. They are calm inside, don’t jump, barge through doorways, great with kids (grown up with 4 of them) etc. but as pointed out – it is all how they are brought up.

Love water – it’s an individual thing – Toby can swim for hrs, Molly prefers short dashes to drown brother (preferably by jumping on him… ) before hoping out for the next attack.

Laidback, easy going. Toby is unflapable, Molly spooks at things at times. Molly is more sensitive and loves being touched. Toby is ball orientated – …. etc…

They are individuals – can’t generalise.
