My sincerest sympathies. It hurts so much to lose a pet, even though we tell ourselves that at least the dog isn’t suffering anymore. You never really get over missing them. But as time goes by, you won’t so much remember his illness or his physical difficulties or the decision you made to put him down. You’ll remember the good times and be happy that you could have such a wonderful dog in your life. |

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SYMPATHY PCARPENTER. WE R STILL LAUGHING AND CRYING AT THE SAME TIME OVER HIS GOOFY WAYS. WE NEVER HAD A DOG AS LONG AS WE HAD MAX.NEVER HAD TO GO THROUGHT THIS BEFORE. IT JUST KILLS YOU. WE R JUST NOT USE TO ALL THIS EMPTY SPACE. WE CRIED OUR SELVES TO SLEEP LAST NIGHT,AND STILL LEFT THE CENTER OF OUR KING SIZE BED OPEN FOR HIM. |

I am so sorry to learn about your loss. I know it is just like losing a member of your family or a best friend, because these are what our pets become. I know that Max was well loved and cared for to live to be 10 years old. The pain will eventually lessen, but it takes time. The Rainbow Bidge is a poem that has helped me and many of my friends to overcome our grief. I hope it helps you. Again I am so sorry for your loss, I know exactly what you are going through. The Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together… Author unknown.. |

I am so sorry. I lost my beloved Homer six weeks ago, and I am still crying. The empty spaces on the bed, the couch, in the car, on my lap are so hard, a constant reminder of loss. The greater the love, the deeper the grief. Take care, Kate |

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND SYMPATHY, IT REALY HELPS. I HOPE YOU ALL WENT TO MAXS PAGE TO GET TO KNOW HIM A LITTLE BETTER. I SPENT THE DAY CLEANING UP ALL HIS MEMORIES AROUND THE HOUSE. I JUST FELT LIKE I WAS IN MY OWN LITTLE WORLD. SWEEPING UP HIS HAIR,HIS LITTLE MESSES OUT SIDE. AND CHANGING THE BEDDING. THEN I SAT DOWN AND GOT ALL HIS PHOTOS FROM ALL THE YEARS GONE BY AND FINISHED HIS DOG BOOK I STARTED LAST YEAR, SO ALL THE FAMILY THAT CAME TO GIVE THERE CONDOLANCES GOT TO SHARE ALL OF OUR MEMORIES OF HIM. THANKS FOR THE RAINBOW BRIDE POEM, HOW BEAUTIFUL. I WAS ALSO SENT A DOGS 10 COMANDMENTS, WHICH PLAYED THE SONG I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU . WHAT A TEAR JERKER, BUT I LOVED IT. THANKS SO MUCH, THE MARRONES. |
