Would like to talk to other Belgian Malinois owners or trainers about this breed. If you have any tips or advise to share for these high energy dogs please post them here. |

Suggest you contact your local Breed Club on tips and classes they offer, as well as advice on keeping this very active, eager to please, smart, and loyal breed happy and content in his environment, whatever that may be. I have know them and have seen them in action as police dogs and then come home to their family and be happy as a regular family dog. As with any breed, they need a job to do to keep their minds stimulated for what it is they were born to do. They are just happy to be doing something with you and are most eager to please. They herd, guard, do police work, excel in obedience and agility, love fly ball and just plain want to have fun and to them everything is a game, and love being part of the family, even a family of one. |

Truly, they are very energetic. You too must have lots of energy to keep them in shape. Training them will not be a problem, they’re so intelligent! To find out more, please click on: |

Hi I’m a pretty new Mal owner. He will be 4 months old the 30th. I have had many strong breeds and love traiing. I’d enjoy hearing from you. We have invented a hi-energy resistance based toy and made an attachment for our bikes to give him plenty of exercise. We met his parents and other relatives at the breeders, and had done our homework, but these needs came alot earlier than we thought they would. |
