I (and my vet) think my herding mix has some Australian Shepherd in him. He’s 2 and is chewing me out of hearth and home. Aussie owners, were your dogs still chewing maniacs at this age? Will he ever grow out it? |

Hey, my aussie is three and I have to keep a very close eye on her or she will chew anything. Aussies are a breed that has a great stemina and are bred for work. They are constantly busy. I have found that they chew just for something to do. I have started training my dog for agility for something for her to cannel her energy into. |

I have an 11 month old female Aussie. She was easily housebroken and learned basic obedience. She does however continually steal socks and shoes to chew. To date I have been unable to break her of this behavior. I walk her at least a mile or so every morning and take her hiking when I can. She’s underfoot and moving continually. When she is outside she is chasing bugs or running circuits in the yard. It appears that she does not know how to relax. Do they ever slow down a little? I had an Aussie/Heeler mix before this one and she was a dream. |

“bold” MY AUSSIE IS 7 MONTHS I ALSO HAVE ROTTI 6YRS OLD THEY PLAY TUG AND THE AUSSIE ALWAYS PLAYING WITH ALL THE TIME AND HERDING 1 TIME IS MY WIFE JUST GOT BACK FROM A WALK AND NEXT YOU KNOW IT A CLAP OF THUNDER THE ROTTI TOOK OFF MY WIF EAND I CANNOT RUN BAD KNEES SO I TOLD FINNIGAN GO GET ISIS HE BROUGHT THE ROTTI RIGHT BACK A GREAT DOG BESIDES WE GO FOR A1 MILE WALK PLAY BALL 800PM I GOT OUT WITH THEM AND PLAY WITH A LAZOR AND THEY CHASE IT FOR ABOUT 15MIN NOW ITS REST TIME YA RIGHT I WILL ALWAYS GET A AUSSIE GREAT DOGS SO FAR LOL |
