Hi my name is lorry and I have a lhasa apso furbaby….his name is Scruffy…

I had 2 other lhasas they were sisters..

We adopted Scruffy from our vet…someone found him roaming the street in a city….we had him for 12 yrs now, but out vet said he was around 2yrs old at the time…Scruffy has kidney disease…he has had this for couple of yrs. now….we have never experienced this with our other babies..

I know it can be a very painful death…

If anyone knows more about this disease I am really interested….

Scruffy and I would like to hear from our new friends???

I have not found in this website a link that particularly tackles the subject of renal or kidney diseases but I found however a very interesting discussion on how to take care of your scruffy in his senior years.

While the senior stage can and usually does last years, you may have to make difficult decisions about when it’s time to say goodbye. Prepare yourself—and your dog—by giving her the best you can during her lifetime and by not prolonging suffering or pain.
