My 2 month old shih tzu is crazy for attention. He hates to be left in his LARGE play pen even when we are in the same room. He has his bed, toys and diaper in his play pen but hates it when we put him in there.

He barks alot when we leave at the door. He constantly wants attention.

How do I alleviate the seperation anxiety??

Please help!

no need to worry my 8 months old mini schnauzer used to do the same thing. After a while they learn to grow out of it. This is what i did

1. I would spend alot of time with her and tire her out until she is so tired she sort of collapses (maybe take her to the park and run)

2. Then i would put her in the pen and she would not even mind

If this doesn’t work and if you don’t have time to take her to the park you should probably make sure that you garden is COMPLETELY closed because puppies absolutely love to go sniffing around. Then in the garden play fetch with her and if nothing of these things work just try and get some help

A good thing is to train her on the leash to go off it that way in the park (sense mine is open) she can follow you every where even follow you when you run and its A LOT of fun !!!

Good luck
