I have read about this Cavalier King Charles spaniel and Bichon Frise mix. They are really cute. I am from AL and I cant find a breeder anywhere at all close by. I really cant afford the shipping, and also I was wondering how much these dogs cost? Any one have any idea? I have 3 children under the age of 10 and we want a small indoor dog. Other than this kind does anyone have any suggestions on a good breed for kids? Thanks

what about a miniature poodle? or a small poodle mix? they’re supposed to be really good with kids and you could probably find a mix at a shelter or rescue near you.

I don’t know about the cost of the mix, but you can look at a ranking of dog breeds good with kids here:
http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/characteristic/co…

They’re not always what you’d expect. People often think a smaller dog would be safer with kids, but some small breeds can be nippier and they’re more likely to get hurt by kids’ roughhousing.

With 3 kids under 10, you might also consider an adult dog who was raised around kids. Raising a puppy is a bit like raising another kid – it takes time and work, they wake you up at night, etc.
