Most people don't know that pets, like kids, get diabetes. It's the one of the top 3 diseases in cats and top 5 in dogs. I am on the Board for the SJ Chapter of the JDRF. We are the grassroots organization who have raised more than $1.6B to find a cure for all striken with this disease. I have had it for 30 years. Every year we have a worldwide walk. This year we have the first pet walk team led by Melvin. If anyone wants to help fund a cure for (kids are usually 1-4 when diagnosed) please join PAWS For the Cause by clicking on http://www.regionalvet.com/paws-for-the-cause.php. We appreciate your help.

We have a 13 yr old poodle/snauzer mix who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. We started the insulin and it is not working - can not get the amount regulated. Her blood sugar just keeps going up. She sleeps with us and has now lost bladder control at night. Help - we feel like we are hurting her more than helping her.
