Stenotic Nares
Stenotic Nares is a congenital disorder that affects dogs with short muzzles. It appears at birth and causes difficulty breathing through the narrow opening that occurs because of Stenotic Nares, which is a malformation of the nostril. Many dogs learn to live with this disorder by breathing through their mouths but surgery can be a successful means of treatment.
