Autoimmune disease

A term used to identify certain diseases or disorders that affect the immune system. In Autoimmune diseases, the immune system mistakes parts of the body as a threat and attacks it. These diseases can affect either singular or multiple parts of the body. Examples of Autoimmune diseases are Lupus, Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, and allergies to name a few.
