We adopted Bug from the ASPCA in Manhattan, where our friend is a veterinarian in the shelter. We had originally come to meet a litter of Pug/Boston Terrier/Jack Russells, but by the time we got there, they had for the most part been adopted.

Our friend took us around to meet a couple other dogs and puppies, and that was when we met Bug. She was very frisky; she already knew sit, high five and down, and she was only 8 weeks old. When we met with a behaviorist, Bug showed off her skateboarding skills. If you put a treat on the end of the skateboard, she will scoot it along. We could not resist, and we adopted her that day.
