Every time my 8 month old puppy goes on a car ride, he vomits. If we're lucky it's clear & mucousy. Usually we're not. I find it true that if he's looking out the window, that's when the sickness usually occurs. If he's muzzled on my lap, not looking around but resting instead, he tends to be fine. Young puppies get carsick because all they can feel is the motion of the car but they arent really big enough to see what's really going on outside the vehicle. This is something they eventually grow out of but when they are puppies, they are basically just very sensitive to this kind of thing. It's comparable to a human baby, when they are young they are extremely sensitive, but as they grow up they grow out of their sensitivities.
