“My beloved Boston was 14 years old when I had to put him to sleep earlier this year. I had him since he was 6 months old. He was the best pet I ever had. His named was Spanky and he will be terribly missed and loved always.”

“wow brianna, that's just plain mean...it's also incorrect!
Bostons are a fairly new breed, and were created from such breeds as the bull terrier, which has a very long nose! It's a recessive gene that is a fault according to the standard, so most breeders have 'bred it out'. There are breeders however that will breed dogs that have less than desirable traits (a longer snout in the case of a Boston) to like individuals without regard for the standard, thereby reinforcing the recessive (and undesirable according to the standard) genes. These dogs are still 'full-blooded', but just bred without consideration of the standard (usually for the money involved rather than trying to achieve the standard). Luckily these dogs with longer noses and tales, odd colors (red, chocolate, mostly white..etc) and long rather than squat bodies still exhibit the same sweet, soulful personality, which makes the Boston Terrier the best breed around in my opinion!”

“This is my first Boston. I adopted her from a rescue when she was 8 weeks old. I think she is a duck. You can't keep her away from the hose. She loves you to chase her and squirt her with the hose. Her name is Sophie. She is a real clown. Every day she makes you laugh . Tena 07/27/09”

“If your boston terrier isnt full blooded then dont say it is here some things if they are full blooded ive raised them so here it is. You boston terrier has to have a flat nose,(not long). When there born there tail comes out naturally short and it will look kinda like a pig tail.so if your boston has a long tail, honey that aint full blooded or a long nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“I have a 17 week old BT pup named Boss. I named him without using your list -- I named him after my favorite band director in high school. I was so surprised to find Boss on your list of Boston Terrier names! My daughter calls him Boss Boston.”
