“I hear this so much lately and it just makes me cry.... I lost my job a couple of years ago and had a really hard time, but I would NEVER have given up my beloved companions...it never crossed my mind. I did whatever it took, and we struggled for a while....but we were all together and loved each other very much! Their unconditional love is what got me throught those rough times and I could never have forgiven myself if I betrayed their trust and loyalty. I am so glad that Summer got a second chance! Big hugs to Debbie!”

“What's wrong with people - no matter how bad things are, and they are for me also right now, I would never dump my pet, just like I would never dump my child at a dump. They should be prosecuted!”

“Even if I had to live in a cardboad box...My 2 doggies would go with me..... My pets are my kids....I never gave up on my 2 legged kids, why would I on my 4 legged ones????”

“They should be thoroughly ASHAMED of themselves for abandoning that poor dog. I'm so glad you were able to place Summer in a good home. That's all any pet wants, some food, water and lots of TLC. Please take the dog to a shelter if you can no longer keep it. Give the shelter a chance to help your pet.”

“How can someone leave a animal behind like that? What the heck is wrong with these people? I swear stuff like this makes me want to vomit.”

“I would never in a lifetime give up my animals. I would eat ramen noodles and frozen pizza the rest of my life, if I had to - so I could keep my pets.”

“People can be uncaring jerks. I volunteered at a shelter and you would not believe the lame excuses people gave as they turned in their unwanted pets. But at leasty they copntacted a shelter. Those that choose to abandon animals should be punished.”

“sooo....if you get evicted would you leave your children behind? because essentially it is the same thing. you have made a lifelong commitment to care for a living, sentient being, no matter what circumstance happens. their love is unconditional, so should yours be”

“I had to sell my home due to the economy and my job being eliminated. I would rather live in my car with my four companion dogs than live without them. They mean the world to me. I found a place that was too small for all of us, but we didn't care, because we were together. I understand the panic, I just don't understand where it becomes an option. I don't know how I could survive without them. We are a package deal!”
