Comments: Vick dogs go public

AvatarWhat an amazing story! Kudos to the good folks at Bad Rap for not giving up on these wonderful animals. Stories like this reinforce one's faith in mankind.” — mhupp, Jan 27 2008

AvatarBAD RAP is amazing for stepping up and providing a new life for these wonderful dogs. And what a great outcome from such a horrible tragedy thanks to them.” — jenny, Jan 27 2008

AvatarI have a cruelty rescue dog, and I know the effects of this kind of horrible treatment. She'll never be a "normal" dog, but seeing her play is one of the most satisfying and amazing things I've ever experienced.

Even though after four years she still has a lot of fear, she is our son's best friend in the world and has never shown any aggression.

THANK YOU for posting this - this will give other rescue dogs a chance to get the homes they deserve. ” — trollie, Jan 27 2008

AvatarWords cannot express the respect that I feel for BAD RAP for stepping up and providing a new life for these wonderful dogs. What amazing people. And what a great outcome from such a horrible tragedy.” — jenny, Jan 27 2008

AvatarI think this is a really, really cool project that could help some other dogs like Vick's.

Also, Bad Rap deserves our love and support for doing this, and being able to make such a public statement about it while doing so.

I know I for one won't just automatically look over a Pit Bull mix at a shelter ever again.” — dr0139, Jan 27 2008

AvatarI am so very proud of all of you for the wonderful job that you have done with these dogs,I wish that Mr. Vick would have to watch the video of his former dogs for the 24 straight hours. Then he might be able to see that they are happy, full of love, and meant to have a life, a dogs life. Thank you again for the great work all of you are doing. Michelle” — mogiego, Jan 27 2008

AvatarRight On! — onekinkstar, Jan 26 2008

AvatarI am so glad there is an organization like BAD RAP. As the owner of a pit bull, I can't tell you how many times I cried when I saw what was going on. Thanks to BAD RAP and all the other agencies who are rehabilitating these wonderful dogs. I pray for them and their foster families every day. Keep up the good work!!!” — llshaw, Jan 26 2008

AvatarDoes Michael Vick have access to this site? If he doesn't he should. Perhaps during his own time "behind bars", he can consider what life was like for his dogs before they were freed.

Bravo!” — davidkirsch1, Jan 26 2008

AvatarThe worst dog bit I have gotten during dog rescue was from a chihuahua. She was sold out of a flea market by people who had brought her over the border in the trunk of a car. My point is that no breed deserves the bias that have been reserved undeservidedly so as the pit bull. I appreciate the salvation that has been offered to these wonderful pets. FYI, Stormy, the vicious chihuahua is now socialized and living with a family with small children. ” — smcclung101, Jan 25 2008
