“I've always belived that a little people food was ok for dogs as you discribed, good food not junk food. BUT I gotta ask... Ive seen and caught my dogs eating some pretty nasty things (that will not be listed at this time) and not get sick. So why is it always said that dogs have a sensetive digestive system. Lets face dogs are not the pickiest eaters. I've seen dogs vomit then eat what they just vomited.... for the only reason I can figure is that now it's a hot meal to them and/or they think their eatting twice! “I been trying to find an article about whats best to feed a 10 month old mini yorkie. I tried dog food and he rather not eat than eat that. So I give him some chicken mixed in with his dog food. It seems to do the trick but I worry if its safe.
Please advise me what is the best diet.

“Home cooked food is best for most dogs. I cook all of my 1 yr old male rottweiler's meals. He has his own grocery list with his own favorites just like everyone else in the family. Ground turkey and chicken are his favorite(COOKED--OF COURSE!!) He also loves carrots, and he also loves real oatmeal mixed in for flavor, as well as homeade gravy. I also put a few eggs in with his meats when cooking them for moistness. Some people say my rottie is spoiled and that he eats better than most humans but I want to get the most out of my dog and I want to keep him around as long as I can and good nutrition along with proper exercise is one of the best ways to achieve a long life for this large breed dog.
